I came back to Cambridge for Lent term last Thursday; lectures resumed today.
Although generally the snow over Christmas was a good thing, annoyingly it has meant that I didn’t cycle as much as I’d intended. This morning however the roads looked reasonably clear here so I did my usual route out around the North West of Cambridge. Also annoyingly, Google My Tracks decided for some reason that it was only going to record the route and speed information about half way around, so the usual statistics that I get from it are somewhat useless. The roads were indeed clear but the rain was something else – by the time I got back my trainers felt like they’d been dunked in a bucket of water they were that wet, as did the rest of my clothes. For the first time along this route I was actually held up by traffic significantly, which added a few minutes to my time. Fortunately, despite tracking only half of the journey, My Tracks did at least record my total time correctly, which was 54 minutes and 11 seconds – using the distance recorded for my second run along the route (which is identical to that which I took today), I calculate my average speed to be 21.13km/h. Anyway, here is what it did record:

The route out to Dry Drayton is rather nice
I cycled to and from it and the Computer Lab each day for 8 weeks in the Summer
If you had turned up for the non-existent 10:00 lecture then there was barely a drizzle
